Who are the Queensland Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurers for Workplace Injuries
In Queensland, all employers must hold workers’ compensation insurance for each employee, in
accordance with the Workers’ Compensation & Rehabilitation Act 2003 (Qld). WorkCover
Queensland is the insurer for most employers in Queensland, however there are some employers in
Queensland that are self-insurers.

As of 4 July 2022, WorkSafe Queensland published ‘List of Workers’ Compensation Insurers’, which
