2025 CLM Charity Gala & Inspire Awards

Tully Law Employee Receives Finalist Nomination

Tully Law was delighted to attend the Connecting Lawyer Mums Charity Gala & Inspire Awards, held on Friday, 25 July 2025, at the stunning Blackbird Brisbane.

We were especially thrilled to celebrate our incredible Legal Assistant, Monet Nutter, who was nominated as a finalist in the ‘Emerging Leader’ category. This award set out to recognise a mum who has “recently commenced their legal career or are studying law and have demonstrated leadership, initiative, often against the odds or naysayers, and are driving positive changes in the legal community.”

The evening began with champagne and mingling, providing a perfect opportunity to connect with peers in the industry and of course, to take some photos in our gorgeous (and naturally, all-pink) outfits! We made our way downstairs to the red carpet and social media wall, where we captured more memories before heading in to enjoy the main event.

The program featured a series of powerful and inspirational speeches, interviews, and keynote addresses from outstanding leaders in the legal and broader professional space, including:

  • Justice Naita A. Semaj, New York State Supreme Court
  • Chief Justice Helen Bowskill, Supreme Court of Queensland
  • Justice Chrissa Loukas-Karlsson, ACT Supreme Court
  • Erika Cramer, The Queen of Confidence, Author & Global Speaker
  • Sarah-Elke Kraal, Lawyer, Presenter & Storyteller

We were also inspired by the story behind Project:herSELF, an impactful initiative founded by the incredible Tahlia Isaac, whose Silent Charity Auction added excitement and purpose to the night.

Following a delicious dinner, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived—the announcement of the Inspire Award winners. While Monet did not take home the award in her category, being shortlisted as a finalist was a huge honour and one that she is immensely proud of.

Monet is not only a valued member of our team at Tully Law, but also a final-year Bachelor of Laws (Honours) student at Griffith University. A passionate and purpose-driven future lawyer, Monet’s interest in the law began in childhood, inspired by a bold, pink-wearing on-screen heroine who showed the world that femininity and strength go hand in hand. Now, as a young mum and emerging legal professional, she brings empathy, determination, and a deep sense of justice to her work. Monet is committed to challenging expectations and building a community-centred legal career grounded in advocacy, authenticity, and heart.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees, finalists, and winners across all categories. A massive thank you to Lauren Cassimatis for curating such an empowering and beautifully executed event. It was truly a night to remember!
